ROBIN TANNER (1904-1988) Robin Tanner was an English artist, etcher and print maker. He followed in the visionary tradition of Samuel Palmer and English neo-romanticism. He lived in London, at Kington Langley, in Wiltshire and Bath. To celebrate his life’s work a Memorial Portfolio was published in 1989 by Merivale Editions containing a set of 12 etchings hand printed from the original copper plates by Anthony Dyson (Black Star Press) on Fabriano paper and limited to 100 expédition. After the publication all 12 copper plates were lodged at the Ashmolean Museum of Art, Oxford. The Etching entitled "The Old Road Elegy for the English Elm 1” is from the Memorial Portfolio, with Blind Stamp P. P.  and presented in an acid free mount.
