"The Beaver" is a publication of the Hudsons Bay Company. It was first published in 1920 in celebration of the Companys 250th anniversary. "Its interests, include the whole field of life and activity in the Canadian north, past and present, as well as the history of the more southerly regions, in both Canada and the United States, where Canadian fur traders formally carried on business". Each issue includes interesting and illustrated stories about the people andhistory of Canada. The publication is free of advertising except forHudsons Bay Company products, usually on the back cover.
